Ten small hints to enjoy smoking cigars

1. Take your time, don't rush.
The cigar would like your full attention; relax and enjoy.

2. Choose the cigar, let your own taste and occasion decide.

3. Take care of your cigars.
Keep them in a humid place preferably in a humidor.

4. Cutting.
The way the cigar is cut determines the quality of the draw; it should be proportional to the thickness of the cigar. A straight cut is best, preferably using cigar scissors.

5. Don't play with fire.
Let the heat of the flame gently light the cigar. Roll the cigar slowly so the tobacco will light evenly, then blow softly on the glow. Don't put the cigar in your mouth until the whole edge glows.

6. Enjoy the body of the cigar.
Watch the beauty of the leaf and the gray ash. Break off the ash carefully against the ashtray when it is a thimble long.

7. Smoke with pleasure.
Fill your mouth with the tasty smoke from the cigar, don't inhale.

8. Smoke indoors or outside.
Let your frame of mind dictate when or when not to smoke a cigar. Avoid too much wind.

9. Show respect to the surroundings.
It costs very little to show other people respect, but it will be much appreciated.

10. Let the cigar die slowly.
Only smoke the cigar as long as it tastes good. When you decide to stop, just leave it in the ashtray and it will slowly extinguish itself.
